Mangalya Shikshan Prasarak Sanstha Pune 28 started Samata Secondary Ashram School at Padegaon Taluka Khandala District Satara in 1993 with the approval of the former Directorate of Social Welfare and now other Backward Bahujan Welfare Department, Government of Maharashtra. At present Samata Secondary Ashram School has classes of class V to X in two batches. The first batch is  in Semi English medium and the second batch is in Marathi medium. The number of resident students in Samata Secondary Ashram School is 170. Samata Secondary Ashram School admits residential and non-resident students. For the secondary department, there is a Headmaster, 1 Supervisor, 17  Teachers, a Senior clerk, a Junior clerk, a part-time librarian, a laboratory assistant, a laboratory attendant, a Naik and three Peons. For Samata Secondary Ashram School Hostel Department, there are five posts which consists of one Superintendent, 2 Cooks, One Helper and one Worker.

A separate and well equipped building is available for Samata Secondary Ashram School dormitory. Along with education, The institute focuses on students holistic development through various competitive examinations, painting examinations, sports competitions. There are separate classrooms for Ashram School. It also has benches, Library Computer Room, Laboratory, Sports Room, Staff , Headmaster Room and Office. Pure drinking water of RO is provided.

Samata Secondary Ashram School Dormitory Department provides Accommodation for students i.e. Bedding, Cot Mattress, Pillow, Satranji Sheet, Blanket. In Meal utensils, plates, cups and in  educational materials, textbooks, books, pens, strips, pencils, erasers, sharpeners, compasses, backpacks, etc. are provided free of cost. Students are provided with two school uniforms, oil, soap, toothpaste, first aid, entertainment and sports equipment, alternative electrical system, CCTV etc. for security. Pure drinking water of RO is provided.

Rajshri Shahu Maharaj Merit Award Scheme is applicable to class X students of Samata Secondary Ashram School.

Savitribai Phule Scholarship Scheme for Girls.

Scholarship Scheme for Girls of VJNT Category. 

State and National Sports Scholarships are available to sports students with five per cent marks for Class X and XII and five per cent for Class XI admission.

Samata Secondary Ashram School has a bright tradition of SSC board exam results Also, in many competitions conducted by the sports department, the students of the school ashram school have won many prizes at the district level as well as at the state level.
